Board member since

John has been a lawyer for over 35 years and specializes in environmental law and business litigation. His job is to help his clients comply with environmental laws, avoid and manage their risks, and solve business disputes.

Community Involvement

John is presently a member of the Oregon State Bar Sustainable Future Section Study Group on the concept of an Oregon Office of Legal Guardian to assess the long-term environmental impact of proposed legislation and administrative rules.

Amanda combines an understanding of the technical aspects of energy efficiency with excellent communication, problem solving and management skills. A developer at heart, Amanda has leveraged that strength by cultivating new projects and programs and building the teams to deliver them. She excels at finding practical solutions to complex problems with a focus on quality delivery. She now oversees the Energy Trust of Oregon’s Agriculture and Industry teams.

Stephen Eichenlaub

Steve is COO at M-SIX Technology, a software start-up focused on improving productivity and efficiency in constructing and operating complex mega-projects, such as international airports. Prior to M-SIX, he spent 17 years with Intel leading teams focused on bringing new technologies to market that fit Intel’s long-term strategic interests, with a focus area in energy efficiency. Prior to Intel, Steve played a variety of roles at big and small high-tech companies spanning venture investing, M&A, business development, strategic and product marketing, sales, and investor relations.

Jeff Allen became the first Executive Director of Forth (formerly Drive Oregon) in December 2011. Jeff’s executive career spans some twenty years, serving as Executive Director or Organizational Development Consultant to nonprofit organizations including the Crater Lake Trust, the Small Diameter Stewardship Collaborative, the Rogue Valley Workforce Development Council, and the Sustainable Valley Technology Group, Southern Oregon’s first business incubator.

Jeff’s previous environmental policy work includes projects in Europe, at the state level, and with national non-profit environmental groups including the Center for Clean Air Policy, the Environmental Law Institute, and the Union of Concerned Scientists.

Bill has been engaged in the field of energy and the environment from multiple perspectives with jobs as an environmental consultant, a state regulatory staffer and director level positions at two utilities. Currently at NW Natural, Bill has taken on the challenge of helping the company develop new, innovative efforts to reduce overall greenhouse gases emissions.

​Bill currently serves as a member of the Board for the Community Cycling Center. He is a past board member of the Oregon Environmental Council, Earth Advantage and The Climate Trust.

A skilled negotiator and effective communicator, Nancy brings deep relationships across a diverse cross-section of stakeholders in the Portland Metro area and across Oregon. Her extensive background is a result of almost two decades, moving from her work as Chief of Staff to Mayor Tom Potter, to her focus on workforce and economic development for Governor Kulongoski and then as Market Director for McKinstry Oregon with an emphasis on energy.

​​When not working with her clients, Nancy has long been known to work tirelessly for funding on behalf of Portland’s children and schools.

Susan Anderson

Board member since

Susan Anderson is the director of Portland's Bureau of Planning and Sustainability. She is responsible for long range planning, zoning, urban design, and a host of programs and policies focused on climate change, energy efficiency, solar and other renewable energy resources, green building, waste reduction and recycling, urban agriculture, ecodistricts and promoting healthy, walkable neighborhoods. Recent efforts include:

  1. a new, once in a generation, comprehensive land use plan,
  2. a new Climate Action Plan, and
  3. a new vision and strategy for development of the Central City.

Adam Zimmerman

Adam Zimmerman started with Craft3 in 2002 and is now President and CEO. In his early work in rural economic development, Adam worked closely with organic farms and food systems businesses. In 2009, Adam launched Craft3’s energy efficiency lending program in conjunction with the Cities of Portland and Seattle.

Adam has been a featured speaker for C-40 Cities, the National Governor’s Association, Net Impact, Opportunity Finance Network, Climate and Energy Funders Group, Oregon BEST, and the California Public Utilities Commission. In 2013, Adam was recognized by the Portland Business Journal as one of the region’s “40 under 40” business leaders.
